Highland Middle School is the newest middle school in the Mead School District located on the Five Mile Prairie in Northwest Spokane. Phase 1 of this project, completed in 2019, was the construction of the baseball and softball fields on the site. Phase 2 will be the remainder of the landscape and irrigation around the perimeter of the school, to be completed in 2020. The school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2020
